"Ancient Modern" 24x30

I create mixed media wall art by using collage techniques that combine various old materials like vintage book pages, book bindings, acrylic paint, found objects, canvas, tissue, thread, wax, original photographs, transfers and more. Each art collage is a one-of-a-kind as I use the actual antique book cover, leather, vellum, rusted metal or stained pages that I incorporate in each piece. These altered book art pieces reflect my love of old text, and books that have a patina. They illustrate our need to send our lives on to the future through our stories in books and through art.
